Sit less. Never get nagged.
Stretchping lives in your Mac’s menubar and only speaks when you’ve already stopped: a call ends, you switch tasks, or your Mac is busy working for you. It never interrupts typing.
Not out yet. Walks and the ping are free forever. The coach starts at $2.99 a month, after a 14-day trial. For macOS 14 or later.
Claude’s working. Go walk.
We’ll ping you when it’s done.
Claude’s done.
Sitting reset. Ready when you are.
Claude is working on your request.Shown at demo speed. A real walk lasts as long as the run.
Go. We’ll ping you.
Most break apps tell you when to stop working. Stretchping tells you when work is ready for you again. Every wait on a machine becomes a walk, and you come back to finished work instead of a terminal you watched scroll.
What counts as busy
- An agent
- Claude Code, Codex and Gemini CLI connect in one step, so the ping can say
Claude’s done.orClaude needs you. - A command
- Anything you start in a terminal:
swift build, npm test, python train.py. When it exits, the ping is a fact. - An app working hard
- Blender, HandBrake, Xcode, Lightroom Classic, Cinema 4D and Unity. We see the work stop, not finish, so the ping says
Your Mac’s quiet again.
How the ping finds you
- At your desk
- A quiet card. No sound, because you’re already there.
- Down the hall
- One chime from your Mac, only when the work ends while you’re away.
- Out of earshot
- A ping on your phone, if you turn it on. It’s off until you do.
A day with Stretchping.
Every moment below comes after you’ve already stopped. None of them lands while you’re typing, and each one asks for one small thing.

A long sit with no natural pause.
Good moment. Stand for 3 min.
Asked at your next pause, never mid-sentence.

Coach
Your eyes have been at arm’s length all day.
Good moment. Eye break for 2 min.
Full screen, with the light and the sound. Only ever after a yes.
Say Not now and it stays quiet for 15 minutes, then 30, then 60 if you keep saying no. No streaks, no scores, no sad faces.
Close your eyes.
Rest them. A soft bell will tell you when to open them.
The break lowers your shoulders.
A long break takes the whole screen and softens everything on it. The words come after the light, the controls stay out of the way, and it ends on an exhale.
Warm at dawn, sky by day, violet at dusk, indigo at night. It moves like light through deep water.
A slow pad, singing bowls and distant surf in one room. Quiet by default, and never on a call.
A lit 3D figure in the middle of the screen does the stretch with you, with real weight and real easing.
Light, sound and the figure rise and fall together, about five and a half breaths a minute.
The sound here is a 90-second clip of the real soundscape. In the app it never plays by itself.
It measures what changed.
The trial ends on your results, not a paywall. The number it watches is your longest sit, because that’s the one a chair hides from you.
Example screen. Made-up numbers, to show what you’d see.
Your 14-day trial
Your longest sit fell from 95 to 48 minutes.
Longest sit
Every Monday, in the menubar
Last week your longest sit averaged 52 min, down from 61. You walked 2 h 5 min while your Mac worked.
It measures sitting and walking, nothing else. It doesn’t promise health outcomes, and your numbers will be your own.
No permissions. Nothing of yours leaves your Mac.
No account, no sign-in, no analytics. Your history is one file on your Mac that you can read or delete. The coach’s license key is checked on your Mac, with no server to call.
Two exceptions, and you can see both. Once a day the app asks stretchping.com whether there’s a newer version. That request carries nothing about you or your Mac, and the update it fetches is checked against a key inside the app before it’s installed.
The phone ping is opt-in, and off until you turn it on. Turn it on and, when the work ends, the only thing that leaves your Mac is the line itself, like “Claude’s done.” It travels through ntfy, a free app with no account, to a private channel only your phone listens to.
What it looks at
- How long since you last typed or clicked
- Which app is in front
- Whether a microphone or camera is on
- How busy each process is
What it never reads
- What you type
- What’s on your screen
- Window titles
- Your files or your code
Walks are free. The coach starts at $2.99.
The walk-and-ping loop is free forever. The coach covers the rest of your day, and you only pay after 14 days of seeing what it changed. Pick a plan, or pay once and keep it.

Does it need any permissions?
No. No Accessibility, no Screen Recording, no Full Disk Access, and no prompts. It uses what macOS shows every app: time since your last keystroke, the app in front, whether a microphone or camera is on, and how busy each process is.
Which agents does it work with?
Claude Code, Codex and Gemini CLI connect in one step. For Claude Code that’s claude plugin install stretchping. Once connected, the ping knows “Claude’s done.” from “Claude needs you.”
Without connecting, it still sees any agent or terminal running a build, a test or a tool, and pings when that command exits. It can’t tell when an unconnected agent has finished thinking, so it doesn’t pretend to.
Agents that live inside an editor, like Cursor’s or Copilot, are invisible unless they offer hooks. The commands they run in the editor’s terminal still count.
Which apps count as busy?
A build or test in a terminal, a render in Blender or Cinema 4D, an encode in HandBrake, an export in Lightroom Classic, a build in Xcode or Unity. Video editors are not supported yet: Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve export in a way we can’t see.
For apps it watches how hard they work, not what they’re doing. So when the work stops it says “Your Mac’s quiet again”, never “Export done”. Some things look busy and aren’t, like Xcode indexing. We’re measuring that on real exports before launch.
What about meetings?
It never asks you to walk during a call. It knows you’re on one when a microphone or camera is on, in any app or browser tab. Screen sharing and full screen keep it quiet too.
With the coach, a call ending is a good moment to stand for 3 minutes, and a long call can come with box breathing that nobody on camera can see.
Does the break make sound?
A long break has a soundscape: a slow pad, singing bowls and distant surf, generated on your Mac from no audio files. It’s quiet by default, never plays on a call, and a soft bell marks each step. The small moves in the corner are silent.
Which Macs does it run on?
Any Mac with macOS 14 Sonoma or later. It’s a small native app that lives in the menubar, with no Dock icon.
What happens when the trial ends?
You see your results: how your longest sit changed over 14 days. Then you choose. Choose a plan to keep the coach, from $2.99 a month or $24.50 once, or keep the free walks and the ping forever. Nothing locks you out.
What if I don’t feel like walking?
Press Not now. It stays quiet for 15 minutes, then 30, then 60 if you keep saying no, and saying no costs you nothing. There are no streaks to break and no scores to lose.
